Penguins may not soar through the sky, but they are incredible swimmers! These flightless birds use their strong flippers to glide through icy waters, reaching speeds up to 15 miles per hour. Penguins live in some of the coldest places on Earth, like Antarctica, but some species can be found in warmer climates too. Their thick feathers and a layer of fat help keep them warm, while their black-and-white coloring acts as camouflage in the water.
