Frogs are small, bouncy amphibians that live all over the world—from tropical rainforests to backyard ponds. Known for their powerful back legs and stretchy tongues, frogs are expert jumpers and skilled insect hunters. They’re also famous for their croaking calls, which help them attract mates and mark their territory.
Unlike reptiles, frogs have moist skin and need water to survive and reproduce. Most start life as tadpoles and go through an amazing transformation (called metamorphosis) into adult frogs with legs, lungs, and a big appetite for bugs!
