Bullfrogs are large, powerful frogs native to North America. Known for their deep, booming calls that can be heard from far away, bullfrogs are one of the most recognizable frog species in the wild. These amphibians are typically found in ponds, lakes, and marshes, where they enjoy sitting on the edges of the water or diving in to catch their prey.
Bullfrogs are voracious eaters and will consume almost anything they can fit in their mouths—from insects and small fish to other frogs and even small birds. With their muscular legs and webbed feet, they’re also excellent swimmers.

Bullfrogs can jump up to 10 feet in a single leap! Their powerful hind legs help them make those impressive jumps when they need to escape predators or catch a meal.
